Getting to know a customer’s needs, their site, their people, their working methods etc naturally leads to improved levels of service and longer term cost improvement programmes. Many long-term agreements include KPI targets with agreed levels on continual improvement year on year. This allows procurement and engineering departments to accurately plan their budgets for subsequent years and saves the considerable effort involved in the re-tender process.
